Service Description
Project-Based Learning (PBL) and Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) empower students to become active, independent thinkers who solve real-world problems, collaborate effectively, and explore meaningful questions. As schools shift away from passive, teacher-led instruction, PBL and IBL offer powerful alternatives that boost engagement, deepen understanding, and cultivate essential 21st-century skills. However, many schools struggle to implement these approaches with consistency and impact. Teachers may feel uncertain about facilitating open inquiry, designing meaningful projects that meet curriculum requirements, or assessing student progress in non-traditional ways. Schools may also face logistical challenges such as resource planning, classroom organisation, and aligning projects with wider school priorities. At JLW Consultancy, our Project-Based & Inquiry-Based Learning Support Service helps schools embed high-quality, student-centred pedagogy into their curriculum. We work with leaders and teachers to create structured, meaningful projects that inspire curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and foster deep learning across subjects. We support schools by: • Designing curriculum-integrated PBL & IBL frameworks that meet national learning standards while promoting creativity and real-world relevance. • Delivering hands-on teacher training, strengthening staff confidence in facilitating inquiry, scaffolding learning, and guiding student-led exploration. • Developing effective assessment strategies, including rubrics, reflection tools, formative feedback structures, and peer-review methods. • Supporting interdisciplinary project planning, ensuring projects connect learning across subjects for maximum impact. • Coaching teachers in inquiry-based classroom management, helping them balance autonomy with structure and accountability. • Integrating technology to enhance inquiry, including research tools, collaborative platforms, and digital project creation. • Building community engagement, connecting students with local businesses, experts, and organisations for authentic project experiences. • Advising on learning space and resource setup to create environments that encourage curiosity, collaboration, and hands-on investigation. Cancellation Policy JLW Consultancy – Booking Policy This policy explains how bookings, payments, cancellations, and rescheduling work for services provided by JLW Consultancy. By booking with us, you agree to the terms outlined below. 1. Making a Booking • All bookings must be made through our online booking system or by contacting JLW Consultancy directly. • Bookings are confirmed only once payment (or deposit, where applicable) has been received. • You will receive a confirmation email with details of your booking. 2. Payment • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. • Payments are processed securely through our website. • Schools and organisations may request invoicing arrangements, subject to approval. 3. Cancellations by Clients • Cancellations made 7 or more days before the session will receive a full refund. • Cancellations made 3–6 days before the session will receive a 50% refund. • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the session are non-refundable. 4. Rescheduling • You may reschedule your booking up to 48 hours before the session without charge. • Requests made less than 48 hours before will be treated as a cancellation. 5. No-Shows & Late Attendance • If you do not attend your session without notice, no refund will be given. • If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time. 6. Cancellations by JLW Consultancy • In the rare event that JLW Consultancy needs to cancel or reschedule, you will be offered either: • A full refund, or • An alternative date/time for your session. 7. Safeguarding & Conduct • When working with families and children, safeguarding is our highest priority. Parents/carers must be present for all sessions with children. • We reserve the right to refuse or end a session if conduct is inappropriate. 8. Liability • JLW Consultancy is not liable for any indirect loss, costs, or expenses arising from cancellations, rescheduling, or technical issues beyond our control.
