Service Description

Tracking a child’s progress over time is essential for ensuring steady academic development and the success of any interventions. Yet many parents receive only occasional school reports, which provide limited snapshots rather than a true picture of ongoing growth. Without regular monitoring, learning gaps can remain hidden and delay the support a child may need. Our Termly Assessments Package provides a proactive, data-driven way to follow your child’s progress throughout the year. With three full appointments—one each school term—this service delivers detailed insights that help parents and educators respond quickly and effectively. This package includes: • All core assessments three times a year — reading, spelling, mathematics, and non-verbal IQ. • Data-driven tracking — measuring growth across each term to reveal trends and improvements. • Comparative reports — highlighting strengths, pinpointing emerging gaps, and showing whether interventions are effective. • Structured planning — providing clear next steps for home and school support after every session. Ideal for parents who want ongoing insight rather than reactive measures, these termly assessments ensure that every stage of your child’s educational journey is carefully monitored. Frequently Asked Questions • Why choose termly assessments? They create a clear, continuous record of progress, allowing early identification of strengths and areas for improvement. • What subjects are included? Reading, spelling, mathematics, and cognitive (IQ) assessments provide a full academic and learning profile. • How are results used? Reports inform home learning plans, guide school meetings, and help refine interventions. • Do they replace school reports? No — they add a deeper, data-rich perspective to complement standard school reporting. • What happens after each session? Parents receive a detailed written report with analysis and tailored recommendations. • Are termly assessments suitable for children with ALN/SEND? Yes — regular tracking ensures needs are met and adjustments made promptly. • Can I request extra support if concerns arise? Absolutely — we provide guidance on next steps and further interventions. By providing structured, termly assessments, JLW Consultancy ensures children receive timely support, continuous monitoring, and measurable educational progress — giving parents complete confidence that their child’s learning stays on track all year long.
